Methylene dithiocyanate (MBT) is white or light yellow acicular crystal. Melting point100- 105℃, soluble in DMF, 2-(2-Ethoxyethoxy)ethanol, hot ethyl alcohol, and mixed liquor of cyclohexanone and xylene. Slightly soluble in other organic solvents, poorly soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water. Solubility in water is about 0.4%. Decomposition temperature 130℃.
